Main Street McMinnville Earns National Accreditation for 2025
Main Street McMinnville has once again been designated as an Accredited Main Street America™ program for 2025, the highest recognition a local Main Street program can achieve. This national honor is a testament to the program’s ongoing excellence in preservation-based economic development and community revitalization using the Main Street Approach™.
Main Street America recently announced that 821 communities nationwide received Accredited status for 2025. This elite designation acknowledges programs that have demonstrated exceptional performance across six rigorous standards of community evaluation, including community engagement, inclusive leadership, sustainable operations, strategic programming, historic preservation, and measurable impact.
“This is a huge achievement for our community,” said Jennifer Flatt Meredith, Executive Director of Main Street McMinnville. “To be recognized on a national level for our work to build a thriving, beautiful, and welcoming downtown speaks volumes about the dedication of our volunteers, board members, business owners, and partners. Accreditation isn’t just a title—it’s a validation that what we’re doing is working.”
Main Street McMinnville’s performance was carefully evaluated through a collaborative assessment process by the local board of directors and Tennessee Main Street, its Coordinating Program, in partnership with Main Street America. Only programs that meet all baseline requirements and demonstrate successful outcomes in revitalization qualify for this honor.
“Main Street America is proud to recognize this year’s 1,172 designated Main Street programs for their commitment to building strong and vibrant communities,” said Erin Barnes, President and CEO of Main Street America. “Their tireless efforts show what’s possible when engaged leaders work together to shape places that reflect the people they serve.”
With a 45-year national track record, Main Street America’s network has proven to be a powerful engine for local progress, delivering strong economic returns and helping communities create vibrant places for residents and visitors alike. Accreditation ensures Main Street McMinnville continues to stand as a leader in this movement, bringing national visibility and new opportunities for support, investment, and growth.
