Main Street McMinnville begins their 2011/2012 Membership Campaign and Invites you to join!
What is Main Street?: Main Street® is a national program in over 25 communities in Tennessee and thousands of communities nationwide. These communities have adopted the Main Street approach to look at "Main Street" as the heart of their communities, work to save its historic buildings, revive its commercial core, strengthen business, control community eroding sprawl and keep a sense of place and community life in America.
Main Street McMinnville strives to make our downtown the best it can be. We plan and promote events in order to increase public interest and draw consumers to shop, play, live and eat in downtown McMinnville. We put on a number of events throughout the year including Downtown by Moonlight, Main Street LIVE!, Downtown After Dark 5K, Trick or Treat on Main Street, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, and several additional events we partner with other organizations. These events bring large crowds to the downtown area.
We encourage downtown revitalization by recruiting new businesses and marketing existing businesses through various outlets. We also encourage the use of our Civil War Walking Trail which takes you on a stroll around downtown McMinnville and showcases important pieces of our past.
