McMinnville Historic Zoning Commission
McMinnville's Board of Aldermen recognize the need to retain the city's historical value while promoting economic development and investment.
The Downtown Historic District was researched and organized by members of the Warren County Heritage Alliance and Main Street McMinnville, with the goal to preserve McMinnville's historical significance. Following several public meetings where valuable input was collected, historic design guidelines, downtown historic overlay district, and an historic zoning review commission were created and approved by the City Board of Aldermen and the State of Tennessee.
The guidelines contain recommendations intended to help owners as they plan modifications to properties that are more than buildings. They are the heritage of McMinnville.
