The committee sells the image and promise of downtown by marketing the district's unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new businesses and visitors. An effective promotional strategy forges a positive image through advertising, retail promotions, special events and marketing campaigns carried out by local volunteers. It is important that the Promotions Committee have open communication with the downtown businesses, city and county officials and civic organizations throughout McMinnville and Warren County. The committee plans and implements projects such as the Downtown Pioneer Kick-off and Tailgate Rally, Trick or Treat in Downtown, Celtic Christmas and other events designed to draw people downtown.
