Economic Restructuring Committee: Economic Restructuring means finding new purpose for downtown's enterprises. The committee finds ways to help retain and expand existing business; recruit new businesses to respond to the changing market; help convert unused space into productive property; and sharpen the competitiveness of business enterprises. The committee is responsible for developing financial incentives for the downtown and business oriented workshops to help businesses prosper. Finally the committee gathers economic and market data that will assist other committees in developing projects to bolster downtown. The committee oversees the Destination Downtown Group made up of downtown business owners who attended the Destination Business BootCamp and are teaching other downtown businesses how to be destinations.
